Holdings of US Treasuries decline
China's holdings of US Treasuries decreased to $1.113 trillion in April, the second consecutive month in which the holdings dropped, according to data released on Monday by the US Department of the Treasury. Still the largest foreign holder of US Treasuries, China held $1.121 trillion of US Treasuries in March, slightly shrinking from a month earlier. China and Japan hold more than one third of the total foreign holdings of US Treasuries.
