Abandoned cat fitted with artificial paws

On our Sina Weibo

A cat whose paws were amputated because of a severe case of frostbite is believed to be the first in the world to be fitted with four artificial extremities. Ryzhik is now learning to walk again after getting specially designed titanium implants. Gangrene - rotting cells - had affected all four of the abandoned cat's frozen limbs after temperatures in Russia dropped to -40 C. A clinic in Novosibirsk fitted the new artificial paws using sophisticated computer tomography and 3D modeling.
