Big health and software improvement discussed at key summit
Corporate representatives shared their experiences providing digital services in industries, artificial intelligence and "big health" at the 2019 Smart Service Summit and the seventh Matchmaking Conference for International Software and Information Enterprises on Thursday.
Big health, a concept the Chinese government is campaigning to advance, covers the entire healthcare industry and involves a wide range of health services.
As part of this year's China International Fair for Trade in Services, the summit was hosted by the Beijing Association of Sourcing Services and supported by the Japan Information Industry Association and the Indian National Association of Software and Services Companies.
Guests from Japan, the Philippines and India, together with executives of leading domestic companies, attended the summit.
Zhong Mingbo, director of the Beijing Association of Sourcing Services, said during an earlier meeting that providing services for the elderly has become a new hot topic in China and how to use the latest technologies to serve the growing customers should be considered.
He added that artificial intelligence, big data and cloud computing technologies brought new opportunities for the medical industry in the Chinese market, thanks to this year's summit.
Intelligent medical solutions provider Beijing Tinavi, Zhongdianlide Tech, an intelligent solutions provider of traditional Chinese medicine, and other domestic medical companies showcased their latest technological solutions at the summit.
BioDuro, a US provider of medical contract research, development and manufacturing outsourcing solutions, set up its Beijing branch in 2006. The company has launched more than 400 projects with Chinese medical factories and they hoped to launch more after participating in the summit, according to Ren Li, executive director of BioDuro.
Chinese leading innovative software and information technology services provider iSoftStone established in 2001, has created a global business network with more than 90 branches and 25 delivery centers in 36 cities worldwide.
Zhu Bangwei, manager of the marketing department of the company, said iSoftStone has served more than 110 financial companies, most of which are Stated-owned enterprises.
