Father-sharing program: Gimmick or serious?

Information about Father-Sharing, a mini interactive program on the WeChat platform, recently went viral on social media. A five-minute video advertises a service that allows busy users to rent another, more "professional", father figure when the actual parent can't attend important family moments. Guangdong furniture maker Oppein, the company behind the mini program, said that it's just a "well-intended" marketing tactic aimed at promoting family values. It sparked online controversy, and isn't accessible yet.
