Turkish Airlines flights to China hit 20-year mark
Established in 1933, Turkish Airlines has grown from a small company with five aircraft to one of the best and largest airlines around the globe, with a fleet of 338 planes flying to 306 destinations in 124 countries and regions.
Turkish Airlines, which flies to more countries and international destinations than any other airline, is marking the 20-year anniversary of its entry into the Chinese market.
Over the past 86 years, Turkish Airlines has committed to providing better services and ensuring customer satisfaction, concentrating on offering premium services for passengers.
Turkish Airlines continues to explore more destinations, investing in new aircraft, training and new, modern facilities while winning global awards and providing better services.
In order to offer passengers unique and better services, Turkish Airlines has always been committed to creating an atmosphere of "Turkish hospitality" above the clouds.
This includes splendid and cozy decor, well-trained flight attendants with kindness, services with courtesy, and the unique "Flying Chef".
Seasonally inspired menus are created by Turkish Airlines' professional chefs, combined with local styles.
These renowned dishes are made using the freshest ingredients and served onboard by the Flying Chefs. In 1999, Turkish Airlines launched its first route in China - from Istanbul to Beijing.
Turkish Airlines currently operates daily flights to three key destinations in the Chinese mainland - Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou - and six flights a week for the Hong Kong route and a daily flight to Taipei. Turkish Airlines is passionate about growing and providing the dynamic Chinese market with an exceptional travel and dining experience. The airline provides premium and customized in-flight products and services for Chinese travelers, including plush and comfortable cabin interiors, a state-of-the-art entertainment system and a delectable Chinese menu.
Turkish Airlines also set up a Chinese call center to facilitate better communication with Chinese travelers.
Turkish Airlines has also benefited from China's development. As China now pursues its Belt and Road Initiative, Turkey is again taking the position as a key investment and cooperation partner that will help bridge the East and the West.
As the national carrier of Turkey, Turkish Airlines is helping connect the two countries with each other and beyond, confident that the initiative will create increased opportunities. And now, Turkish Airlines is offering another reason for Chinese passengers to choose a transfer flight via Istanbul.
For passengers departing from the Chinese mainland including cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou and arriving in the Americas, Europe and Africa, free accommodation is available.
For flights operated by Turkish Airlines, transfer passengers who voluntarily spend 20 hours or more in Istanbul can apply for this service to discover more of the wonderful city while waiting for their next flight. Stopovers provide flexible flight hours and it is an option for all classes.
There is no obligation of taking the first connecting flight, as it totally depends on the passenger's choice.
During the past 20 years, Turkish Airlines has always put faith in China's fast-growing market.
It will continue to make great efforts in fulfilling its commitment to this market by providing incomparable services and products.
