Biz: Meitu to shut down its phone services

Image-editing app developer Meitu announced plans to close its smartphone business by the middle of this year, news outlet Jiemian reported on Monday. Meitu released its first smartphone in 2013 and then developed three models. Meitu changed its strategy to become a social platform last year. By the end of February, the monthly active users on the platform had reached 119.2 million.
