Debugging operations at Fuqing get approval

The National Nuclear Safety Administration approved the debugging of unit 5 and unit 6 of Fuqing nuclear power plant in Fuzhou, East China's Fujian province, on Monday. The two units use Hualong One technology, a domestically developed third generation reactor design, jointly designed by two domestic nuclear power giants, China General Nuclear Power Group and China National Nuclear Corporation. This is after the Ministry of Ecology and Environment released the operating license for the unit 1 and unit 2 of Taishan nuclear plant on April 4, the biggest cooperation project between China and France in the energy sector.
