Sichuan giant stone Buddha reopens to visitors

The Leshan Buddha reopened to the public on April 1 after experts carried out restoration work. The 1,300-year-old figure, which stands 71 meters high, was handcarved out of a mountain face in Sichuan province. Restoration work was done to its face and neck.
