Sun Guiqin and her three fellow travelers have completed a two-week, 800-kilometer bike journey through Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces. But their journey is not over. Starting from Hangzhou, Zhejiang, the four cyclists, ages 63 to 74 from Harbin, Heilongjiang province, hope to finish a 2,000-km odyssey along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in a matter of weeks. "The canal is the longest one in the world," said Yue Renjiang, 66, in charge of navigation in the team. "More importantly, we can promote a low-carbon, environmentally friendly and healthy lifestyle to the public along the way," he added.
