Ford puts China first as transformative strategy takes shape

Ford Motor Co unveiled a comprehensive blueprint on Wednesday in Shanghai, in which the carmaker vowed to make use of the best resources from itself and in China to reposition its business for greater success in the world's largest automotive market.
The transformative strategy, dubbed "Ford China 2.0", is consistent with the global redesign of Ford, said the carmaker.
According to the plan, Ford will focus on five aspects in China for accelerating product development and delivery, developing smart technology, deepening strategic partnerships, driving innovation and developing local talent, while leveraging resources to create four "centers of competence" dedicated to products, design, innovation and new energy vehicles.
