App Annie, an app market data provider from the United States, released its list of top 52 app publishers of 2018 recently, revealing the top-earning publishers globally on iOS and Google Play stores. Tencent grabbed the top spot for an impressive third consecutive year, and NetEase retained second spot, according to the list. Asia-Pacific app publishers have dominated the top 52 recently, with seven of the top 10 app publishers last year headquartered in the region. Revenue rankings are based on revenue earned from paid downloads and in-app purchases on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
