Life by the numbers is fascinating - you can count on it

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: I'm not a numerologist.

Still, I am intrigued by the apparent cosmic order that seems to arise from certain patterns of numbers, or the superstitions associated with them. I've noticed such things, in fact, since I was around 5 years old.

Needless to say, since coming to China five years ago, I have been very comfortable with the element of Chinese culture that ascribes value to certain numbers, bad luck to others or auspiciousness when numbers line up just right.
