Daimler deepens electrification strategy, confident of long-term growth in China

The China Development Forum is taking place from March 23-25 at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. With the theme of "Greater Opening-Up for Win-Win Cooperation" this year, this event brought together government representatives and global business leaders for discussions on China's economic development, driving forces for green development, artificial intelligence, the 5G era, opportunities for future cooperation and growth and other topics.

In his keynote speech, Dieter Zetsche, chairman of the board of management of Daimler AG and head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, and chairman of the international delegation, said: "Last year was the 40th anniversary of opening-up. Many foreign companies, such as Daimler, have witnessed, participated in and benefited from China's reforms and its astonishing economic growth, realizing local development here."

Early this March, a series of socioeconomic development plans were discussed and the foreign investment law was approved during the two sessions.
