Karl Marx memorial vandalized again
The memorial of German philosopher Karl Marx has been vandalized in London for the second time in two weeks, the cemetery that manages the site said on Saturday. The words "architect of genocide", "terror and oppression" and "mass murder" were written in red paint on the grave in the capital's Highgate cemetery. The grave of Marx was also attacked on Feb 4 when it was seemingly struck several times with a blunt metal instrument. "Senseless. Stupid. Ignorant. Whatever you think about Marx's legacy, this is not the way to make the point," tweeted Highgate cemetery on Saturday.

Senator Bernie Sanders has recorded a video announcing a 2020 run for president, Politico reported on Saturday, an indication that he plans to enter the already crowded field of candidates. But it still remains unclear when or if the video will be released. Sanders, a 77-year-old independent who caucuses with Democrats, made an unsuccessful bid for the presidency in 2016. Sanders served in the House until 2006 when he was elected to the Senate. He was re-elected in 2012 and 2018.
