Video: PLA a true force for peace in the world
The Chinese military has been making significant contributions to world peace. It has taken part in 24 United Nations peacekeeping missions involving nearly 40,000 Chinese so far, and has also actively participated in disaster relief and humanitarian efforts around the globe. The PLA Navy has also escorted more than 6,600 ships in the Gulf of Aden and the waters off Somalia.
