Travel: Thailand to launch e-visa service

Thailand has announced that it will launch an e-visa service at its embassy in Beijing on Feb 15, making it more convenient for Chinese tourists to apply for a Thai visa. The service will be available at the country's consulates in other cities in early March. Prospective visitors can fill out an application form and make an appointment via the website thaievisa.go.th, and pay via online payment platforms such as Alipay and WeChat Pay. However, they will have to submit their passport for approval and fixing of the visa sticker at an embassy or consulate.
