Alibaba opens hotel staffed by robots

Technology giant Alibaba has opened a "future hotel" in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The FlyZoo Hotel features automated check-in facilities, locks triggered by facial scan, and voice-controlled temperature and lighting services, which allow guests to dispense with such cumbersome aspects of travel as switches, keys and basic human interaction. Largely staffed by robots, the hotel is equipped with the tech giant's Tmall Genie, an AI system that help guests purchase food, drinks and other supplies, which are then delivered, naturally, by a robot.
