Hairstylist swaps salon for left-behind children

A hairstylist from Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, is smartening up the region's left-behind children by giving them haircuts on his days off. Liu Jia works at a trendy salon where he deals with glamorous female office workers. However, he has found a unique way of giving back to the city. Every weekend since 2015, he has traveled to remote areas offering haircuts to left-behind children. "When I see the children's smiles, all my efforts are worthwhile," he said.
