First 'test tube baby' speaks at medical meeting

Louise Brown, the first human born via in vitro fertilization, or IVF, addressed the 12th annual meeting of the Chinese Society of Reproductive Medicine, held in Southwest China's Chongqing on Thursday. It is estimated that 8 million children have been born worldwide through IVF and other assisted reproduction techniques since 1978, according to the latest report by International Committee for Monitoring Assisted Reproductive Technology.
