Editor's Note: The Guangzhou auto show, taking place from Nov 16 to 25, has attracted automakers from China and abroad to showcase a total of 1,085 models. Here are some - both gasoline and electric - that particularly deserve the attention of those planning to attend the annual gala for car enthusiasts.
Cayenne E-Hybrid ups driving pleasure

The new Cayenne E-Hybrid made its China premiere at the Guangzhou auto show on Friday. It features further enhanced overall performance thanks to its performance-oriented hybrid technology. Improved standards and optional equipment allow for enhanced driving performance, comfort and assistance. The model is now available to order in China at the suggested price of 948,000 yuan ($137,000). As the fourth member and the first plug-in hybrid model of the third-generation Cayenne family, it has preserved the all-round experience of the Cayenne and provides six driving modes.
Bentayga V8 sports sleek new look

Bentley Motors is showcasing the Bentayga V8 at the Guangzhou auto show. Bold, contemporary styling cues and unparalleled levels of craftsmanship provide a sleek, sporting look, while the new cutting-edge V8 engine delivers immense power and instant acceleration. The engine achieves a maximum torque of 770 Newton meters at 1,960 rpm and maintains this right through to 4,500 rpm, ensuring rapid acceleration at any engine speed. This allows you to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds. The Bentayga V8 is brilliantly responsive in the urban environment and thrilling on the open road.
Volvo showcases hybrid Polestar 1

Volvo's high-performance brand Polestar has brought to the auto show its first model, the Polestar 1, which will be produced from the middle of next year. As a high-performance hybrid electric vehicle, the vehicle's range can reach 150 kilometers on pure electric mode. Equipped with Volvo's Drive-E engine, it has a maximum output of 600 horsepower and a top torque of 1,000 Nm. The car body is 4,500 millimeters in length, with the wheelbase stretched to 2,741 mm.
GAC Honda's 1st pure electric launches

GAC Honda released its first pure electric SUV, the VE-1, on the first day of the ongoing auto show, at suggested prices from 225,800 yuan. The vehicle from the Sino-Japanese joint venture has a maximum output of 120 kilowatts and a top torque of 280 Nm. The SUV is equipped with an 8-inch colorful intelligent interconnected system and can connect many smartphone brands to provide weather forecasts, voice recognition, intelligent dialing and other smart features that are believed to better meet the demands of young customers in the country.
Lincoln Nautilus hailed 'masterpiece'

The new Lincoln Nautilus launched on Thursday in Guangzhou, Guangdong province. The SUV, at suggested prices from 420,000 yuan, is regarded as the brand's latest masterpiece in the midsize premium utility segment. The new Lincoln Nautilus is upgraded with turbocharged, direct injection and twin independent variable camshaft timing for a smoother and more dynamic performance. As the only utility in its class offering a V6 engine, it delivers 329 horsepower and 528 Nm of torque. The new model features in-car 4G Wi-Fi, wireless phone charging and more than 20 advanced driver-assist technologies.
Natural beauty inspires DB11 Volante

The DB11 Volante, a 70 years of DB special edition, shown at the Guangzhou auto show, is the most advanced convertible GT sports car by Aston Martin. The letters DB are initials of David Brown, who bought the carmaker in 1947. One year later, the first DB model was born, known as the DB1. The DB11 Volante on display is inspired by the beauty of natural forms and earthy tones, representing the vitality and majesty of nature. From the exclusive green paint to the luminous duotone leather interior, each element of the design is harmonious and elegant.
Dongfeng Peugeot 508L debuts

The new generation of Dongfeng Peugeot 508L made its global debut at the Guangzhou auto show on Friday. The sedan integrates the design concepts of the overseas model and is customized for Chinese drivers with a class-leading 2,850-millimeter wheelbase and is 4,870 mm in total length. Equipped with a 10-inch central touch screen and a 12.3-inch colorful dashboard, the vehicle creates a strong sense of luxury for drivers. The model will hit the Chinese market in March 2019 and is expected to be a star model for the Sino-French joint venture.
DearCC's Enovate offers smart luxury

Enovate, the high-end brand of Chinese startup DearCC, is showcasing its first premium intelligent electric SUV, the ME7. Sporting a 2,825-millimeter wheelbase, the model is 4,655 mm in length, 1,963 in width and 1,640 in height. The ME7 has a maximum range of 700 km and is capable of Level 2.5 autonomous driving. The four-wheel-drive version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The five screens inside the car offer the cabin a high-tech look, and facial technology will be used. The model will hit the market in 2019.
