A storm in the East a year after launch of #MeToo in the US

In late September, a former Miss India who has also acted in Bollywood films accused an established and much older actor of sexually harassing her on a film set a decade ago.

The actress subsequently filed a police complaint. The actor has denied wrongdoing.

Her interview on an Indian TV channel triggered a storm of allegations against other men, mostly by women, on social media.
