Cambridge PhD returns to China, helps farmers

Twenty-eight-year-old Peng Yang, a PhD recipient from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, returned to her hometown in 2016 and revolutionized the agriculture sector with an innovative model of development. She created the Fengjie navel orange - also known by the brand Orange Age - and is helping local farmers make a fortune. She was honored as one of the inspirational role models at the 2017 Touching Chongqing awards in February.
