Norway wishes to broaden the scope of cooperation with China amid an increasingly uncertain global environment in which dialogue and partnership are crucial, the Nordic country's foreign minister said.
"Norway's economy is in many respects complementary to China's, and the two countries' business communities have shared interests in many sectors such as maritime and energy industries," Ine Marie Eriksen Soreide told China Daily in a written interview.
China is now Norway's largest trading partner in Asia, with two-way trade volume reaching $5.62 billion last year. The two countries restarted negotiations on a free trade agreement in April of last year.
