Tibet delegation visits Australia
CANBERRA - A delegation of National People's Congress legislators from the Tibet autonomous region concluded a three-day visit to Australia on Wednesday.
The delegation, headed by Koncho Gyaltsen, deputy to the People's Congress of Tibet autonomous region and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Qamdo People's Congress, met with local politicians in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, as well as Tibetans in Australia.
Koncho Gyaltsen said that members of the delegation are all witnesses to the development and changes taking place in Tibet. He hoped that through face-to-face exchanges, the delegation will help enhance understanding between the two sides and boost cooperation of the legislators with their Australian counterparts.
