A novel way to recycle waste

Residents of Kuaichang, Guizhou province, can drop off trash or things to be recycled at a local waste disposal site and get points in return. The local government has built a facility to reward people for classifying and recycling waste properly. For example, a person is awarded 10 points for half a kilogram of water bottles. They can exhange their points for daily necessities.
