Fly ruins domino world record attempt

A lone fly has ruined a world record domino tiles attempt. Over a two-week period, 22 volunteers set up 596,229 dominoes in Nidda, near Frankfurt, Germany, in an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record. However, before the task could be completed, a single fly caused havoc after it landed on one of the tiles and set off a chain reaction. There was no time to set them up again and the record attempt had to be abandoned.
