Graduates realize it's hair today, gone tomorrow
At a graduation speech on Thursday by the head of Soochow University, Jiangsu province, those present were told that each graduate had attended, on average, 714 classes in the year, and had read 112 published references. But what may have really caught their attention was that 66.5 percent of students suffered hair loss, which may be a sign of growing intellectualism and brain power, the audience was told.
Passion for art helps transform eggshells
Zeng Huosheng, 60, from Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, has carved out a career with eggshell art. With no formal art education, he has carved nearly 1,000 shells in the past six years. With the advent of the World Cup, he engraved the Russian World Cup mascot and logo. "This is a hobby," he said, and one that can be boiled down to sheer pleasure.
Various ways to improve health
The immune system is the body's defense against infections. According to the Huffington Post, there are quick and easy steps to boost it. These include adequate sleep, eating yogurt, garlic, vegetables and chicken soup, afternoon tea, as well as physical training, and a good sense of humor.
