Next Generation Bora

NEW ARRIVALS

The Next Generation Bora from FAW-Volkswagen was launched on Friday in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. Based on Volkswagen's MQB platform, the five-seat sedan is equipped with Volkswagen's latest and smallest EA211 aluminum engine, which has two options - a 1.5-liter and the 1.4 TSL.

The model has three gearbox options: a five-speed manual, six-speed tiptronic or seven-speed direct shift gearbox double-clutch automatic transmission, achieving energy savings and environmental protection.

The Next Generation Bora has an upgraded 2,688 millimeter wheelbase and is 1,815 mm in width to provide the rear passenger with leg room that is competitive in the market segment. The sedan also has a number of intelligent features, including a MKB multiple collision prevention system, emergency braking, EPB electronic brakes, automatic parking and 8-inch vehicle navigation multimedia system.

BMW X2

The premium automaker's first compact sports activity coupe came to the Chinese market on Monday with the robust versatility of a BMW X model and the sporting elegance of a coupe, wrapped up in a highly distinctive design. As stylish as it is with its M package installed as standard, the driving pleasure is offered behind the wheel. The model ensures that fans of the its peerless driving of the X family members will get more flexible handling and a sturdier chassis.

Two power alternatives, 141 kilowatts and 103 kW, and five variants are offered for the choice of customers at prices starting from 289,800 to 379,800 yuan ($44,244 to 57,984). The just-upgraded 2-liter 4-cylinder Twin Power Turbo engine, matched with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, accelerates the BMW X2 xDrive 25i from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.4 seconds. The sDrive 20i's 103 kW engine, with its 7-speed dual clutch transmission, helps realize a fuel economy of 5.9 liters per 100 km running in comprehensive traffic situations, according to the company.

GAC Honda City

GAC Honda started offering its new City last week with upgrades both on the outside and inside, while maintaining its iconic exterior design. The carmaker said that new LED headlights and LED fog lights make the exterior of the new model look flashier and trendier, while refreshed dashboard lighting and silver-color air conditioning vents inside bring a sense of excitement. The company is also offering Champagne gold as a new paint color to cater for the unique individuality of its drivers. Dubbed the Sport Pro, the powertrain of the model's top edition combines a 1.5-liter Earth Dream engine with continuously variable transmission to squeeze 155 Newton meters and consumes 5.4 liters running 100 kilometers in comprehensive driving conditions, according to the company. The Sport Pro has a top price of 106,800 yuan ($16,392), while the price of other four variants, including two manuals, start from 79,800 yuan.

Lynk & Co 02 SUV

Lynk & Co's all-new 02 SUV was launched in the Chinese market on Thursday in Zhangjiakou, Hebei province - the second premium SUV offering from Lynk & Co. The joint venture between Geely and Volvo Cars now has eight models at suggested prices ranging from 122,800 yuan to 192,800 yuan ($18,540 to $29,108). The SUV has two powertrain variants. The 2.0-liter engine has a maximum output of 139 kilowatts and a top torque of 300 Newton meters. The model with a 1.5-liter engine has a maximum output of 132 kW and a top torque of 265 Nm.

The SUV has 2,702-millimeter wheelbase and its width is 1,890 mm. It has a minimum ground clearance of 201 mm. In line with the current trends and sporty fashion, the SUV has bright colors, an athletic shape and strengthened connectivity. The driver can remote control the car through an app on their phone, with remote functions including starting the engine, locating the car and monitoring the vehicle's condition.
