Summer rail transport schedule set to kick off

The summer rail transport schedule takes effect on Sunday, and continues until August 31. During this period, rail travelers are expected to be mainly tourists and students enjoying their summer vacations and the hottest destinations from Beijing West are Xi'an, Chengdu and Zhangjiajie. The Beijing West Railway Station alone is expected to see a 1.2 percent rise in travelers compared with last year. More trains will be available during this period.
