Official to attend BRICS meeting

Yang Jiechi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the Office of the committee's Foreign Affairs Commission, will attend the eighth Meeting of BRICS High Representatives for Security Issues from Thursday to Friday in Durban, South Africa, Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang announced on Monday. During the meeting, representatives from the BRICS countries will exchange in-depth views on the current international situation and major international and regional issues.
