Auditing report tracks three critical battles

By Cao Yin | China Daily | Updated: 2018-06-21 07:48

Auditors have intensified supervision in the sectors of financial risks, poverty alleviation and pollution control to help ensure the country wins the "three tough battles".

The National Audit Office has issued three circulars, requiring auditors nationwide to keep a closer watch on potential problems in these sectors, Hu Zejun, head of the office, told national lawmakers on Wednesday.

Some local governments have been found illegally issuing debt, faking data in poverty alleviation or failing to meet environmental protection targets, she said while delivering an annual audit report to the National People's Congress Standing Committee.
