Prime minister of Nepal to visit
Nepal's Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli will visit China from June 19 to 24, Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang announced on Wednesday. This is the first visit of a Nepali prime minister to China since Nepal completed its political transformation. Oli will meet President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang. The visit will serve as an important opportunity for leaders of the two countries to further plan and lead the development of bilateral ties, Geng said. Also, China hopes to take the visit as an opportunity to deepen pragmatic cooperation with Nepal under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, and strengthen cooperation in fields including politics, trade and infrastructure, Geng said.
