Top Shenzhen court to hear fraud case after petition
The First Circuit Court of the Supreme People's Court in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, will hear an appeal by Gu Chujun on Wednesday. Gu, 58, was chairman of Guangdong Kelon Electrical Holdings, a refrigeration company. He was arrested in 2005. The Guangdong Provincial High People's Court in 2009 sentenced him to 10 years in prison for falsifying and withholding information and embezzlement. He petitioned the Supreme People's Court in 2012, denying all charges and reporting the alleged wrongdoings of four officials.
