Culture: Pop music show gets children singing its praise

A pop music show for children and their parents is hitting the right notes. Hand in Hand was the brainchild of singer-songwriter and author Liu Jian and his journalist wife, from the United States, Rebecca Kanthor. The first such show designed for children in China made its stage debut last year and it aims not only to provide great music but also offer an insight into different cultures. The couple have joined hands with the Emmy-winning group, Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band from the US, as well as acclaimed rock band Hippe Gasten from the Netherlands. The show is currently touring the country after performing in the capital.
