NBS to release consumer and producer data for May

On Saturday, the National Bureau of Statistics will release last month's economic data, including the consumer and producer price indexes. The CPI is the main gauge of inflation, while the PPI indicates changes in wholesale prices. In April, the CPI rose by 1.8 percent year-on-year, and the PPI rose by 3.4 percent, according to the bureau.
