In 1981, the United States photographic film manufacturing giant Eastman Kodak Company set up an office in Beijing.

The item from April 12, 1996, in China Daily showed an employee of Kodak introducing a new product, the digital camera, to visitors at the China International Photographic Equipment Exhibition in Shanghai.
