Brett Gardner hit a go-ahead two-run triple and Aaron Judge followed with a mammoth two-run homer with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning off Craig Kimbrel as the host New York Yankees pulled out a 9-6 victory over the Boston Red Sox to take over first place in the AL East on Wednesday night.
