9 guilty of rioting in 2016 HK disturbance

Nine people were convicted of rioting during a disturbance in Hong Kong's Mong Kok district on Lunar New Year's eve in 2016 - an incident in which 130 people were injured, including 90 police officers.
All nine were taken into police custody.
Magistrate Kwok Wai-kin postponed sentencing until May 23 to allow ti me to get reports from the training center, detention center and local community service authorities.
