Auction supports kids with leukemia
A charity auction was held in Beijing on April 15 - the second anniversary of the Summer Fund, which helps children with leukemia - to raise funds and public awareness about the group. Established by China Children and Teenagers' Fund and its Beijing partner, Langyuan Boundaryless Charity, a platform coordinating online charity efforts, Summer Fund has offered financial assistance to 33 young people whose families couldn't otherwise afford the treatment to fight leukemia, and provided relief goods to an additional 600 children in China. "Thanks to the support from all the kindhearted people in our society, the fund is becoming a stronger power in helping Chinese kids fight this severe disease," Zhu Xisheng, secretary-general of the CCTF said at the opening of the event.
