Heavy rain coming to south, east
Heavy rain will sweep through parts of southern and eastern China in the next three days, the National Meteorological Center said on Tuesday. As it moves southward, a rain belt will affect most of the country's southern and eastern regions, including Guizhou, Yunnan, Guangdong and Fujian provinces starting on Tuesday. Precipitation of up to 130 millimeters is expected. Some places will see thunderstorms and high winds. Moderate to heavy rainfall is also expected in the Xinjiang Uygur and Tibet autonomous regions and some areas of Northeast China. The center warned of an impact on holiday travel in those regions, and many local meteorological authorities have issued alerts.
