Ex-insurance exec stands trial

Wang Yincheng, former deputy Party secretary and president of the People's Insurance Company of China, a State-owned enterprise, stood trial in Fuzhou Intermediate People's Court in Fujian province on Monday. Wang was accused of taking advantage of his positions in the company from 2006 to 2016 to seek profits for others in return for bribes of 8.7 million yuan ($1.38 million), the court said. A verdict will be issued at a later date.
