Chinese women punch ticket to Cup finals

Siggi Eyjolfsson, the coach of the Chinese women's soccer team, said his side deserves to be rated among the best in Asia after it secured a berth in next year's Women's World Cup finals.

Monday's 3-0 victory over the Philippines earned China a second win in a row at the Women's Asian Cup in Jordan and ensured it will be one of the continent's five representatives at the 2019 finals in France.

Forward Li Ying scored in the 17th and 57th minutes either side of defender Ma Jun's strike in the 31st.
