Poverty relief book by Xi goes online

The English and French e-book editions of President Xi Jinping's book Up and Out of Poverty went online on Monday to readers worldwide. The book, published by Foreign Languages Press, contains 29 of Xi's speeches and articles from the 1988-90 period, when he was Party secretary of Ningde, Fujian province. The book focuses on how to help the eastern area of Fujian overcome poverty and gear up development, offering a slew of concepts, ideas and methodologies. It also provides a record of Xi's two years of work in the city.
