Putin looks forward to China visit in June

MOSCOW - China and Russia agreed to promote bilateral ties as Russian President Vladimir Putin met with State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in the Russian capital on Thursday and accepted China's invitation for a state visit in June.

Wang, who is also a special envoy of President Xi Jinping, conveyed Xi's congratulations to Putin on his re-election as Russian president.

China and Russia enjoy a unique comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination, share mutual political trust of the highest level and have seen their relations continuously develop, Wang said.
