Chinese solar photovoltaic manufacturer Znshine Solar has come up with a series of independently developed graphene-coated photovoltaic modules that improve efficiency and cut costs in converting light to electricity.
The modules, which have a thin layer of graphene made from a single layer of carbon atoms, allow light to pass through more easily, offering better efficiency in converting light to electricity, and reducing operating costs, according to the Jiangsu-province-based company.
Demand for photovoltaic products in China has witnessed rapid growth in the past few years, with cost per kilowatt hour of the electricity generated continuously reduced, said Wang Dong, technical and quality general manager of Znshine Solar.
