Ex-official expelled from Party, office
Feng Xinzhu, 58, former vice-governor of Shaanxi province, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China and public office for multiple offenses including "taking a huge amount of bribes", the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced on Saturday. His removal from public office was approved by the national supervisory commission. Feng was found to have abused his power for personal gain, undermined the investigation against him by making alliances with others, and responded passively and ineffectively to major decisions on poverty reduction by the CPC Central Committee.
