Suicide bomber kills at least 15

A suicide bomber disguised as a policeman blew himself up inside a police training camp in Somalia's capital Mogadishu on Thursday and killed at least 15 officers, officials said. Police spokesman Major Mohamed Hussein said the attacker had explosives strapped to his body and infiltrated the General Kahiye Police Training Academy during an early morning parade.

Trump senior aide Newman resigns

Omarosa Manigault Newman, a senior African-American aide to President Donald Trump, has resigned, the White House said on Wednesday. The 43-year-old was seen as the most prominent African-American face of Trump's White House, working on outreach to historically black colleges and universities and racial disparities in the military justice system.

Disney to buy big chunk of Fox

Disney is buying a large part of the Murdoch family's 21st Century Fox in a $52.4 billion deal, including film and television studios, cable and international TV businesses as it tries to meet competition from technology companies in the entertainment business. Under the terms of the all-stock deal, Disney acquires significant assets from Fox, including the studios that produce the blockbuster Marvel superhero pictures and the Avatar franchise, as well as hit TV shows such as The Simpsons.

Austria

Gas supply back to normal after blast

The operator of Austria's main pipeline hub focused on Wednesday on finding the cause for a deadly blast after successfully bringing gas supplies to neighboring countries back to normal. The hub is a major regional transfer node, taking gas from as far away as Russia and pumping it toward neighbors including Italy - its biggest recipient - as well as Germany, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia.

Girl survives with heart outside body

A baby girl, who is born with her heart outside of her body, has survived three operations and is doing well, media reported on Wednesday. Vanellope Hope Wilkins, delivered three weeks ago by Caesarean section, is believed to be the first in the country to survive with the extremely rare condition. She was diagnosed with ectopic cordis after a scan showed her heart and part of her stomach were growing outside of her body.
