Publicity chief calls for study of Party congress

Huang Kunming, the newly appointed head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, said on Monday that efforts should be made to better study and report the spirit and meaning of the 19th CPC National Congress.

The understanding and reporting of the spirit of the congress should be the upmost political mission for the country's ideological and cultural front, Huang said at a department meeting in Beijing.

Studying, reporting and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era should be the focus, and these efforts should quickly spur a wave of enthusiasm throughout the nation, the Party and the public, he added.
