Russian PM to pay official visit
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will pay an official visit to China from Oct 31 to Nov 2 at the invitation of Premier Li Keqiang, Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said on Tuesday. During the visit, Premier Li and Medvedev will hold the 22nd regular meeting between Chinese and Russian prime ministers, and will jointly attend the closing ceremony of the year of China-Russia media exchanges. President Xi Jinping will also meet with Medvedev, Geng said.

10 bodies found after avalanche
The bodies of 10 climbers who had been missing after an avalanche on Mount Otgontenger have been found, authorities said. Seven climbers remain missing. The 17 were among a group of 27 mountaineers who had summited Mount Otgontenger but were hit by the avalanche on the descent.

'No plan' to send Carter to DPRK
The White House said on Monday that there were no plans for the Trump administration to send former US President Jimmy Carter on a mission to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. This month the 93-year-old former president told media that he was willing to travel to the DPRK to help diffuse the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

'Idiots of century' swim in croc trap
A group of men seen swimming inside a crocodile trap in Australia near where a woman was recently eaten were blasted as "idiots of the century" on Tuesday. Photos posted on Facebook showed the four men clambering on the floating trap in Queensland state and even posing inside it.
