Pioneering golf coach Gareth Winslow believes the future's bright for golf in China despite the country's love-hate relationship with the sport.

The New Zealander is the brains behind a new indoor golf academy located in the basement of a shopping center in Xiamen, Fujian province.

The underground location of Win Method Golf could perhaps be seen as a reflection of the state of the controversial sport in China - the preserve of a minority and never truly embraced.
